In case you've failed to realize it previously, here's an absolute truth regarding the Org: Integrity/Truth are relative to the circumstance.
Just my personal assessment. Listen, this is why so many within just treat it like just a religion: Take the good, leave the bad or not applicable, and keep moving on 'til the day of expiration.

Government affiliations are inevitable in this day and age. This is why the Org is/was (?) registered as NGO at the UN. It served to bring our ministry/relief work/workers to other nations with the appropriate protection, thus serving a greater 'good'.
On the same line of thought, it's not wise to have money stagnant; it must be invested somehow. In doing so, it's next to impossible to keep investments clear of shady subjects involved in the whole investment process.
To the ordinary, intelligent JW this is nothing out of this world worthy of any scandal; nothing more than smart moves coming from our smart Org.

I only speak my reality, my experience.
Throughout the years, in the many different Spanish congs I've moved in, all the members I've seen be disfellowshipped, they so very well deserved it for the damage they caused to themselves/others/the Org, by acting totally contraryto the way they should've as JWs.
Out with them! When I see some attending meetings and seeking reinstatement I cringe because their reinstatement will bring nothing but problems to the fold.
It's absolutely just when they get held back for however long needed, just to make sure the same crap they got kicked out for is not coming right back to the fold with their reinstatement.

i attended a funeral recently and a jw told me that the person who died almost made it to the 100 year anniversary of the birth of the kingdom.. curious what comments like this you've heard in your area?.

The Spanish congs I move in aren't excited at all. Just carrying on as usual and enjoying present life. We have such a good time together!
The disappointment of so many other times the Org has cried 'wolf' is surely felt by many. So, deaf ears to their little 'exciting' dates.

I went back to read some of your earlier 'topics started/posted on', and deducted from it all that returning to the JW fold is not right for you. Unless by some miracle you've changed your outlook/attitude completely, it's best to forget about it.
Get psychological help and keep searching for a group you can best identify with. You'll just continue to be miserable among us JWs. This really isn't for everybody, hence the reason why in this vast sea of humanity we're only a silly 7 million or so bunch, and much less for those that expect perfection among a bunch of highly imperfect people.
Actually, keeping expectations low, like George W. Bush said one time, it's the best when co-existing with anyone group of people.

As much as so many are salivating over the imminent demise of the Organization, it just won't happen. The bigger the fansasy, the bigger the disappointment.
If they got away with so many flip-flops over the years, among some of the biggest ones are the 'generation change' and the 'blood fraction' allowance, believe me, they ain't going down; actually, out of these debacles they've emerged stronger, with more new members and stronger 'party affiliance' from us older folk.
We'll just continue to evolve with the times and currents.

after reading the recent publications at the new golden calf (jw.org), my mind is kind of blown that jw's are still not seeing through the constant adjustments, clarifications, new light and reversals.

Take for example all these old timers here, that 'minimus', 'blondie', the 'they stole my bicycle' guy poster, etc., so many years presumably out and still harping on it and whiny about JW stuff.
